Bring your favorite instruments, your singing voice or, or just bring yourself, to the Music Jam at the Alvarado Public Library. We will follow the standard Acoustic Jam rules with musicians and singers in a circle taking turns.
All kinds of music will be accepted.

*We cannot check-out materials or perform cash register transactions after 6:30 pm on weekdays; however, if you are in the building watching a movie or using the computer, you may stay inside the building until 7pm.

Saturday 
10am to *1:00pm
 *We cannot check-out materials or perform cash register transactions after 12:30 pm on Saturdays; however, if you are in the building watching a movie or using the computer, you may stay inside the building until 1pm.

If you don't find what you're looking for please tell the staff so they can either find  something for you at one of our sister libraries or possibly make a purchase request.

As long as they are not consumed at the  computer area, you may bring in your own snacks & beverages or buy them at the library!
No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Books & More to Your Door!

Do you know someone who has no car, can only drive or leave home for short periods of time, uses a wheelchair, or has been restricted to their bed?

If someone is "homebound", even temporarily, because of lack of transportation, illness, disability, pregnancy, or age and they would like to borrow books, movies, music or other materials from the library we have a solution.
We now have a program which makes materials available to Alvarado area residents who are unable to visit our library.

Our Free Summer Reading Programs happen each Wednesday Morning at 10:30 and Crazy Craft-time happens each Thursday afternoon at 3:30pm.

The kids can also play Foosball...

 or try out our Karaoke Machine!
Watch Movies@TheLibrary on our big screen TV & Eat Free Popcorn,  or use our Interactive Games.
Don't forget we also have: Backgammon, cards, checkers, chess, Chinese checkers, dominoes, and
jigsaw puzzles!
