In these tough economic times more and more people are abandoning their pets. Many animals across North Texas are now roaming the streets facing cold weather without food or  water.

Please help us support the City's Animal Shelter by making donations of cash or food. (For more information please call 817-783-2045.)

Or if you prefer please make a donation to the SPCA  or Humane Society of North Texas.

This year the Mayor’s Winter Reading Club Selection is “Rescuing Sprite: a Dog Lover’s Story of Joy and Anguish” by Mark Levin.

Read the Mayor’s Winter Reading Club Selection, attend the Book Discussion and it will be worth three book titles!

Read any book from our library about a family pet, shelter dog or cat and it will count as two titles.

We have set-up a display of many books that will qualify for the special two-title-credit.

You are listening to Winter Wonderland by Felix Bernard.
