Leanne the Librarianne

There once was a librarian named Leanne, Most certainly Alvarado's GREATEST book fan.
She begged and borrowed to give the books a new home, An act which genuinely inspired this poem.

Always cheerful and ready to lend the patrons a hand, Come visit her story time, it's the best in the land.

The programs are fun for the kids of the town, During the summer she even gets them a clown.

With the latest books on the shelves, music and movies, too, The grownups are awed and amazed at all that is new.

They also have groups and clubs that meet, To share their opinions, or just discuss the heat.

Without a doubt, a great place to be, It's at 210 North Baugh, come on in and see.

If while you are visiting, you get a chance, Please take the time and say... "Thanks"

 To Leanne, the librarianne!

Carving a Diamond

 He tries to carve

Carve a diamond out of her

She wishes he could stop

He doesn’t see what a star she could be

In her house she’s alone

Cries in the corner while he takes the throne

He laughs and calls her names that bring her shame

She wishes all of this could go away

He tries to carve a diamond our of her

But she is no diamond she is a
