The Library has a FAX machine, a Microfilm Reader/Printer, a Photocopier, Public Access Computers and an Electric Typewriter which will aid you in your daily business, research and other activities. If you wish to use our equipment you must present your library card or if you don't have a library membership you must present your valid driver's license at the Circulation Desk.

 

Electric Typewriter

Please ask for assistance with the Typewriter at the Circulation Desk.

A Library Staff Member will set-up the Typewriter for your use

Unless you provide your own paper you will be charged $0.10 per sheet.

FAX (Facsimile) Machine

The FAX machine is located at the Circulation Desk. 

bullet

You may have faxes sent to (817)-7323 for a charge of $0.50 per page.

bullet

Outgoing faxes are $1.50 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.

bullet

Please ask a Library Staff Member for assistance.


Microfilm Reader/Printer

The Microfilm Reader/Printer may be checked out for in-house use at the circulation desk.

Staff members will make all microfilm prints. 

bullet

Microfilm prints cost $0.25 each and will be held for you at the circulation desk until you have paid for them.


Photocopy Machine

Staff members will make all photocopies which range in price from $0.10 to $0.20 per page depending on size.

bullet

Please ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.

The Photocopier makes black and white copies of up to forty (40) unstapled individual letter size (8 1/2 X 11") pages at a time.

Other sizes available are legal size (8 1/2 X 14") and ledger size (11 X 17 ")

bullet

Photocopies will be held for you at the circulation desk until you have paid for them.



Public Access Computers

In order to use one of our public access computers you must first complete a computer use agreement and then check out the computer at the circulation desk.

All Computer Prints will be made by Library Staff.

bullet

Computer Prints are in black and white only and will cost $0.10 per page.

bullet

Multiple copies of Computer Prints will be done on the Photocopy Machine by Library Staff Members at a cost of $0.10 per page.

All prints and copies will be held at the circulation desk until you have paid for them.

We have six (6) Public Access Computers which are equipped to provide access to our automated catalog, Internet access, word processing and other useful software programs.

Our first two Public Access Computers came from the Texas State Infrastructure Fund (TIF) grant program. These TIF grant computers have Internet filtering software available for your use.

Our next  public access computers came from a very generous grant from the Tocker Foundation. Their grant also provided funds for our new automation system and circulation desk computers.

Our two newest public access computers were provided by a generous grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They feature the latest interactive children's reading and learning activity software as well as encyclopedias and easy to use  tutorials for programs including Microsoft Office and Microsoft FrontPage.

Manuals are available for your use with the two Gates Foundation computers.
