Parade of Lights & Santa Land
Thursday, December 5th
Every year the community comes together to
celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. First you can enjoy the
spectacular Christmas Parade of Lights, then watch the beautiful Christmas lights go on all over the Downtown Square at sunset.
Come sing Christmas carols with us, have some
delicious hot cocoa, nachos or cookies, enjoy the entertainment and
the wonderful lights on
the Downtown Square.
Picture taking is encouraged. Be sure to bring your cameras to take
pictures of the children with Santa Claus!
Books & More to Your Door!
Do you know someone who has
no car, can only drive or leave home for short periods of time, uses
a wheelchair, or has been restricted to their bed?
If someone is "homebound", even temporarily, because of lack of
transportation, illness, disability or age and they would like to borrow
books, movies, music or other materials from the library we have a solution.
We now have a program which makes materials available to Alvarado
area residents who are unable to visit our library.
