Saturday, November 6th - Veteran's Day Parade: at 10:00 a.m. on the Downtown Plaza ending at the Glenwood Cemetery for a special Veteran's memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Floats and other participants will begin to  line up in front of the Alvarado Public Library at 8:30 a.m.

Saturday, November 21st at 5:00 p.m.:

Santa's Helpers
Fajita Dinner and Auction Santa's Helpers raise money for Alvarado families in need. The festivities start at 5:00pm with dinner being served until 7:00.
The auction begins promptly at 7:00. 
The cost of dinner is $5.
Dinner tickets may be purchased at Grandview National Bank on W. Hwy 67, First Financial Bank  on E. Hwy 67, and at Dance Fusion on College St. just west of the Downtown Square.

A color television will be given away at the end of the auction. You must be present to win!

Saturday, December 4th - Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Every year the community comes together to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season as they watch the fanciful Christmas lights go on all over the Downtown Square at sunset. Everyone enjoys the refreshments sold by local non-profit groups as they wait for the arrival of Santa Claus!
Come and sing Christmas carols with us or sip a lovely cup of hot cocoa.
